First of all, start with what equipment you have. Be it a smartphone or a basic camera, start with what you have and don’t jump into buying the most expensive camera right away. The most expensive gear may not suit your needs. The more photos you take, the more you learn about the style of photography you like and then you can think about which professional camera could cater to your needs.
Secondly, invest in a tripod. Tripods nowadays are relatively affordable. There are different types of tripod for different equipment such as smartphones and professional cameras. Tripods give you great stability, hence less blurry images when shooting with longer exposure.
Lastly, bring your camera with you all the time. Great photography opportunities come and go in a blink of an eye. Be prepared for those unexpected moments. If you don’t have your camera with you, note down the place and come back with your camera to shoot.
